want a house don’t have good good credit score?

I really want a house. But my husband only has a 575 on his credit report. Is there mortage company out there that will get us a mortage? We have not credit cards now and we even got a credit place to help us fix our credit. But it didn’t help.
We did get a credit place to help with our credit score. We had a 575 when we went to them six months ago and they were supppose to help our credit. They got 10 things off our credit report.But now 6 months later the score has not gone up.
How do you raise your credit score?? We have no credit card and dont want them because that where the trouble began.
