how to fix my credit from this point on?

I Start school again in January so, I won’t be required to be paying back during that time.

I had a “care credit” card that i applied for last year for dental reasons, made payments…got behind and eventually the company asked for one last payment and they’d be done with me. I paid it.
I have no credit cards. I don’t take out personal loans, my car is under my father’s name, i have nothing under my name except my cell phone bill.
what can I do to help my credit score?
what can I do to build up credit?
should I make payments on my school loans even though it’s not required just yet?
my credit report shows my school loans and that carecredit..how will someone approve me for something when that’s there??
i know i have about a thousand questions all at once.
